One of my favourite places to visit in Newfoundland is the ocean; I grew up around the ocean, with it being a 5 minute drive from my parents house and high school, it served as a place to see friends during the Summer and Fall.

What I loved most about living by the ocean growing up, was it’s countless ways that people would perceive it; from something that was cold and dark, to soul soothing and where inspiration would stem from. For me, one of the inspirations was style- living by the ocean meant dressing for whatever weather it threw our way that day, making me inspired for this blog post. Chunky knits, layering for protection, but still dressing to keep cool (depending on the day) was an often #ootd where I grew up.

When I shot this post with my photographer, the weather was exactly that- a little cooler, but not cool enough for long sleeves. This outfit combo is one of my favourites to wear during a transitional period of temperatures; living around an ocean causes someone to love layering.
Every time I go back to the island, I go back and visit the ocean again to see it’s soul soothing, inspirational side and see that I’m not alone in doing the same.
I’ll see you Friday.
