My favourite time to shoot is when the day is slowly winding down, when parts of the earth are just waking up and stories are being told.

I’ve always been known to be a night owl, and not a morning person- which explains my unconditional love for coffee (and sleep by association). I find that when the day slowly winds down and turns into night is when the world arounds you becomes vulnerable, and you see things (whether it’s perspective of thought, or how an area looks) differently.

Signal Hill in Newfoundland is easily one of those places, where the simple matter of light can change the outlook drastically. From anyone who visits the area, there’s a story to tell- from people visiting from far away, to lovers who kiss for the first time, and friends who catch up over a coffee reminiscing over days lost long ago. One place can hold stories, but each one is never the same.
The same can be said about fashion, no one piece is worn the same- it’s a simple concept of one piece of clothing, but depending on when it’s worn, how it’s worn, can tell a story that can hold different meaning for each wearer. This open shoulder satin top , for example, is one of the first pieces I decided to wear for this blog, and every time I wear it, that’s what I’ll think of. The same goes for my Chanel bag; it was a graduation gift when I graduated from fashion school in 2013, because at the time it was a symbol saying ‘I made it’, but now it’s so much more than that.
What’s something that is so simplistic, but tells a story for you? Let me know in the comments, and I’ll see you Friday.

Loved working on this session with you! ❤️
It was a dream, shooting pictures like these next to the ocean- can’t get any better!
