When I was in fashion school, one of the pieces of advice we were given was to constantly have our eyes open. When we least expect it, inspiration will hit us with the smallest things and an entire brand can be launched by the way light shimmers on an object.
One of the things I’m always inspired by in the city, is the varying amounts of architecture and how there are so many hidden gems. How many times have you planned weekend brunch with your friends because of the way a restaurant looks? Or how we plan our outfits based on the restaurant we’re going to because we want to make it look good for Instagram? I was really satisfied when I found this skirt that matched the cityscape and colour perfectly and needed to do it justice by shooting it amongst the city.
