It’s often part of a conversation, when two people who share a past that only they share, that time has gone so quickly and with today’s rapid pace that the internet and social media bestowed upon us, things have changed before we can settle the idea of the change into our minds.
For over a year, that has been my situation. Multiple changes and growth to the point that I’ve had to take a step-back to take it all in and witness the growth of my life.
So, to my lovely coffee and fashion enthusiasts, let’s catch up.

Since I last posted in the Winter of 2018, I was in the thick of my studies and was fully immersing myself in what I was learning- the study of retail and everything that it encompasses is enthralling and I was committed to learning every drop of it that I could. While I was in school full-time, I was dancing near full-time as well with a minimum commitment of 4 hours a week and multiple numbers that I lost track of just how many, simply because I love to dance and perform. It’s the most fulfilled I’ve felt in my life-long dance pursuit. My studies ended after 10-years of enthralling myself in the retail and fashion world, only to end with the beginning of my life-long studies of the industry and the constant pursuit of furthering myself and learning everything I can.

I was fortunate to gain opportunities through various forms of promotions and modelling with my dance company, with the renowned Body Love campaign with humble beginnings in Germany and with fashion houses in Germany. It’s only a snippet of things I’ve done in the past year, but all of it was things I never expected in my life to do and thrived in the opportunities that came my way and found my way to searching for more of them. The stories and people behind the various campaigns is what sparked my interest; meeting so many people from different backgrounds and hearing their personal and professional stories made me want to pursue more, but also to take a break.

I’m fortunate in my life to have a strong support system of family and friends and after a decade of education while developing my professional career, I took a break to really sit back and witness the directions I can go. Realizing that I have the avenues to go into any industry, move anywhere and create what I want to create is a very humbling and very sobering feeling. I have the ability to do anything I desire, and it’s an ability I didn’t want to take lightly as there are so many who dream of being in my position. While I’ve gained opportunities, and are still pursuing them, I’ve been able to take what I’ve learned during my break and move it forward with me, into the next chapter if you will.
In the coming weeks, you’ll find more posts, updates and some changes to this space and I’m excited to have found the place to write again and create content that speaks to the next chapter in life.
