I love every season, and for the unique beauty that each one brings. Although, I can’t wait for the warmer temperatures to show up! Today, I’m sharing with you one of my go-to Winter looks for days when it’s so cold but I don’t want to use a lot of layers.

Winter to me, always feels like it goes on longer than it should and that the world is asleep. In my last outfit post, I mentioned that I’m trying to stick to more colours, textures and patterns in my Winter dressing. Although, this look is monochrome, I’m still incorporating mixed textures, fabrics and design elements to take a normally basic Winter outfit, up a notch.

This sweater is one of my season staples, because it can be worn in different ways for different things. It’s incredibly warm, it’s a wool mix off the shoulder style that can be worn as a cozy relaxed sweater, or taken up with a dramatic coat and accessories. By incorporating different design elements, like the coat I’m wearing, it adds more interest to your outfit without being overbearing.

If you’re trying to avoid a lot of layering, incorporate pieces with a thicker yarn that’s a natural material. One my Winter hacks if I don’t want to wear a really thick piece, is layer underneath T-Max Heat shirts, socks, or tights. I’ve been using them for years, and they keep you so warm, so you can avoid looking like a marshmallow in the Winter.

I’m counting down the days until the coat can be ditched for lighter pieces, and the boots can be switched out for sandals. Until then, I’ll be wearing this look on repeat.
Until Wednesday,
