When I’m scouting for locations to make my posts, I always look for unique areas that offer different textures and colours to play with and that I can incorporate into my outfit details. I found this vignette in the Memorial University Botanical Gardens hidden amongst kilometres of hiking trails and trees, and made it into my secret garden amongst the city.

As Fall is coming to a slow end and the Holiday season is beginning, I wanted to capture the Fall landscape before the snow starts to fall, and offers another breathtaking landscape. I couldn’t help but think of the stunning photos that could be taken here, and spent over an hour shooting.

There’s something about finding a hidden spot amongst the city where you can escape the constant traffic and noise for a while, and stop to see what Mother Nature has left for us in the concrete jungle. It’s therapeutic in a way, and I’m always looking out for them.

I wanted to capture the colour in this hidden gem by incorporating the stunning colours into my outfit (but I wouldn’t recommend the heels for hiking trails haha). I love this sweater from H&M, it’s warm enough that you can wear it with a light jacket and you won’t sacrifice your style- I paired it with this skirt from Torrid to give it that transitional Fall feel that can take you from the colder temperatures in the morning, to the warmer temperatures in the afternoon.

As much as I love the Fall, I’m excited to share Winter and Holiday content with you! I’ll be posting in the coming weeks with Holiday content that will get you through the season and look glam while doing it.
See you Wednesday,
