I recently travelled to Newfoundland and visited one of the more well known towns in the province, Brigus. This coastal town has been a getaway for the past three years, with lots of vignettes that inspire creativity and thoughts (it’s also an amazing place for a hot cup of coffee on a cold day). I’ve always wanted to take pictures here, simply because it’s so beautiful and for a small town there’s always something going on- think Stars Hallow from Gilmore Girls (fast talking included).

One of my favourite places is along the ocean- there’s a historic church that looks out over the ocean and the rest of the town, as a beacon point. It’s no longer in use anymore, but you can always catch people taking pictures from here or sneaking in a picnic on it’s grounds.

The town is now inhabited by people from the city looking for a weekend escape, and memories from the past. If you need a quick escape, this is the place to go; all you need is a good book, a cup of coffee, and yourself to recharge. Exploring small towns or places can do wonders for your soul, and it’s a great thing you can do by yourself.

Where is a place you love to go when you need a quick recharge? Let me know, and you might find me there- just search for the smell of coffee, and I won’t be far away.

Sounds like a nice place for a “good” cup of coffee!
Just coffee, not tea haha
Brigus is a beautiful historic town on the edge of the north atlantic thst was settled in 1613. It was home to the late Captain Bob Bartlett a famous sea captain who took Admiral Perry to the north pole.
